I was delighted to support the British Bangladeshi Business Awards 2017, hosted by Desh Foundation. 700 guests attended from the business sector, politics and community leads. Delegates and dignitaries showed their support for the British Bangladeshi community and their successful business achievements for the UK and Bangladesh.

It was also an opportunity to discuss and promote international trade, business investments and champion the British Bangladeshi community with UK politicians including, Alistair Burt MP.

It was a timely event, as former UK PM, David Cameron recently visited Dhaka, Bangladesh, to meet Bangladesh Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina. During his private visit, David Cameron joined a roundtable discussion of the International Growth Centre (IGC), funded by Department for International Development (DFID), a UK government department responsible for administering overseas aid.
