  • Women Driving Political Change

Wednesday, 8 March 2017

I was delighted to join Andy Street’s International Women's Day breakfast with local friends at Andy Street Campaign HQ.

It was an opportunity to informally catch up with the Street Campaign and discuss the core messages on the role of women in political and public life. It’s a privilege to be part of the Conservative Party and so proud that my Party has Britain’s second female Prime Minister as well as Conservative Party Leader.

PM Theresa May is very popular on the doorstep. During breakfast, I had the opportunity to share the mayoral campaign progress and stories of the May popularityWomen also shared their candid journey's into politics. I too shared mine since former PM David Cameron opened the diversity of women into all parts of the party, attracting women from all fields.

Women from business and politics participated before departing our ways, we pledged to support one another and remain connected to bring other aspiring women to understand the democratic process and platforms available through volunteering and mentoring.
