A new era for Stroke
Parveen Hassan with Stroke Association

I was delighted to be able to show my support for a number of excellent charities, including; Cancer Research UK, Volunteering Matters and Stroke Association at the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham.

I had the opportunity to learn more about helping thousands of stroke survivor's - every survivor deserves the latest treatments and continued care.

I lost my father who suffered from a severe stroke after a series of them. It was a difficult time for us and to understand the pre-initial recovery period.

The stand brought back some memories.

Anyone can have a stroke, although there are some things that make you more at risk than others. It’s important to know what the risk factors are and do what you can to reduce your risk.

At the information stand, volunteers shared petition information to get better support for stroke survivor's. Do visit the linkstroke.org.uk/strokepetition and support the charity, together we can conquer stroke.
