On Tuesday 19th July, Conservatives Friends of Bangladesh hosted their Eid Party. Party members, and supporters gathered to celebrate with UK Parliamentarians and Bangladesh MP's at the annual summer reception.

The event was held at one of the key Parliamentary Estates, Westminster. 100 guests enjoyed the south asian delightful cuisine. Concise speeches were delivered  on the benefits of Conservatives values from the British Bangladeshi community, and how relations are strengthened with links from the UK and Bangladesh.

The continuous partnerships with UK MP's and Bangladesh politicians was also reiterated during the speeches provided by Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP, Anne Main MP, and CFOB Patron Nicky Morgan MP.

The Bangladesh dignitaries and guests included: Mr H T Imam, political Advisor to the Bangladesh PM, Mr Anisul Islam Mahmud MP, Hon Minister for Water Resources (Jatiya Party). They had the opportunity to thank the UK and the support provided to build on political ties from democratic parties in Bangladesh.

Following our Bangladeshi traditions, crests were presented by CFoB to parliamentarians with Anne Main MP, President of CFoB and Iain Duncan Smith MP.

The event closed with thanks to supporters who travelled across the UK and Dhaka, and the Community and Voluntary Sector, London Tigers, who generously sponsored the crests.
