Britain is home to one of the most diverse and innovative food cultures in the world. 2016 – Year of Great British Food is the start of a five-year campaign to celebrate the best of our food and drink and build Britain’s reputation as a great food nation. It will give the opportunity to:

Showcase our rich food heritage and traditions, and celebrate the people who grow and make it - our farmers, fishermen, manufacturers, retailers and chefs - and the beauty of the countryside and coastlines it comes from

Build a programme of activity led by partners across industry and our most dynamic food entrepreneurs, to profile the innovation, skills, premium quality and great brands which drive the success and growth of our food sector at home and abroad.
