Many shared news stories of women involved with independent enterprises. The Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, highlighting small business success and encourages customers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. The day itself is on the first Saturday in December each year. In 2015 Small Business Saturday took place on Saturday, December 5th 2015.
