  • Women Driving Political Change

Tuesday, 13 September 2011

On Sunday I was at the West Midlands Region CWO gathering hosted by Caroline Spelman MP. It was very special; a cabinet minister opening her home to the Conservative Blue Ladies.

Following a meal and fund raiser I had the opportunity to discuss women matters; my local conservative campaign and the future of the party including developments at conference next month which Caroline was preparing for. I will download the speech Caroline delivered to members & guests to share with you all in the weekend.

Thank you to the P's (Pauline & Penny) for catering. The surroundings, gardens, and old barn renovated was beautiful under the warm weather. As we dined and discussed matters of importance; the economy, addressing the deficit, Solihull's local community spirit despite recent unrest & disorders, and finally the stance on Europe.

I was also very keen to progress the women to win campaigns with Maggie Throup (ex Conservative PPC) within West Midlands.

The day came to a close when Caroline Spelman left late noon for Poland on business, and successfully raising funds for CWO West Midlands.
